is this chart showing all the notes on the
guitar fretboard. Most people will quickly
memorize the notes for the open strings on
the guitar fretboard. (E A D G B E) Learning
the names at the 5th fret position can also
help to quickly identify notes without the use
of a guitar note chart. All 6 notes are naturals
(A D G C E A) and the first set of natural
harmonics occur here. From here it is as
simple as A, B, C, D, E, F, G then back to A
and repeat. Count out your sharps and flats,
and you should be able to remember them in
no time.
It is critical to at least memorize the low bass
"E" & "A" steps along the neck. This will help
you instantly know what bar chords are being
played, and even what key songs are played
in later.
